Unfortunately it was patched after the release. Used to be one where you would trade ammo and bug the merchant, so you could also give yourself infinite ammo and caps. No clue if its still around. It got patched i bieleve. Unless it is relatively new. 969K subscribers in the Fallout community.

What you want to do is whatever ammo you chose to do the glitch with give all but 10 to your companion. This prevents the vendor from taking all of the ammo, they'll take 10 but that's better than all of it. -so now you have 10 of whatever ammo you chose in your inventory, talk to vendor and buy all of that ammo from them.
