I think the idea during break-in is to avoid hard braking. You also want to avoid hard acceleration. Just drive it like you normally would but vary the rpms. Example don't drive it at 35 miles an hour all the time or 65. You want varying conditions to promote even wearing seating of piston rings all that stuff.For the oil change and valve adjustment it was about $150 with taxes and fees from the Honda dealership.
