I took the pump off and replaced the main wearable parts that come in the kit. I did not remove the large c-clip that relates the timing, as I understand it. Basically the front seal, head o-ring, miscellaneous o-rings and gasket on the top cover etc..

Crack open the line from the filters at the injection pump. You should get a good gravity flow of fuel there unless your tractor has a lift pump.I have a 1967 Ford 3000 diesel with a 540 live PTO. When I press the pedal about 1" or 2" from the floor I can change the gears (with pto running). The pto stops with the pedal all the way to the floor as normal and I can change gears. You must have a later 3000 as the early ones used a 3 bolt manifold there to secure both lines to the pump. Those rubber type hydraulic fittings weren't the best idea.
