The main physical differences b/t the original M14 vs the M1A receivers are 3 or 4 things: 1. M1As lack the 'selector' lug on the bottom right side of the receiver that holds the full-auto vs semi-auto switch. 2. Frame rail on an M1A lacks the connector rod 'dismount' notch cut in the middle of the frame rail under the op rod. 3.lurker01. Clip it on to the sling points front and rear.
